You Will Always Be My Girl
you are, and you always will be my girl
i know that statement is slightly sexist
and people are not possessions
but in a non religious way
this is my truest confession
you have always being my baby
and the romantic in me
which ignores the sexist statement
and the place society –
expects gender roles to be
it says you are my girl
and you always will be to me
you are, and you always will be my girl
i think today, in society –
where the walls have come down,
changed or even replastered
i can, if i can push them to one side
say you are what really matters
you are my one true love
and in a world where there are –
a million possibilities
and when when we demand a solution
from living just one reality
you are, and you always will be my girl
and last night,
when we watched that man sing
i felt a feeling that never goes
you are, and you always will be my girl
