A Dizzy Spell – Written Monday 17th January 2011 (Aged 35)

A Dizzy Spell

i have not laughed –
with someone for a while
shopped out
and dined out on a smile

i have not been silly –
with someone for a while
got lost in jokes
and dined out on a smile

maybe –
when i stop building waterfalls
when i stop looking for a bridge
when i stop fighting with myself
stuck out here on this ridge

maybe we can laugh –
and capture a smile
life has been a dizzy spell
and it has for some while
