Feeling Old – Written Tuesday 11th October 2005 (Aged 30)

Feeling Old

feeling old at only thirty
gone of the days –
of young and flirty
i remember twenty –
just gorging on life
i know i had plenty
now i just watch
and i do as i am told
i realise now –
younger people see me as old
yet i am only thirty
and i do not feel old
but repetition of this phrase
leaves me feeling old
