Coffee Cup Dream – Written November 2008 (Aged 33)

Coffee Cup Dreams

coffee cup dreams
cost too much
their friendship was gold plated
now it has run out of luck
the clouds that assembled
when we were young
have come,
and they have gone
heart on the sleeve decisions
have chased you
and now they knock on your door
they trap you
and threaten your future
coffee cup dreams
cost too much
but take a deep breath
and sprinkle them with a little luck

James Garratt – November 2008
