I Used To Write Poetry

i used to write poetry
but now i just go mad
i used to duel with swords
but that was just a fad
i used to explore the outer north
but now i am content –
and rarely, truly ever bored
i used to make up stories on my steed
but now i am mad
and i just go with the need
i used to write verse
but now i am cooking breakfast
and i leave it to those who can flirt
i used to write poetry
but now i just go mad
