Imagination Runs Riot
i fall in love –
at least a thousand times a week
because –
my imagination runs riot
and thoughts never keep quiet
who ever,
is at work in my brain
they work so hard and so much
it is insane
i wish sometimes –
my brain would stop
and lean to drawn the lines
because whoever is working there
they all appear to be doing overtime
imagination runs riot
i wonder if i could call in a riot squad
just to keep it quiet
at times,
it works at a ferocious pace
i wonder how my worry and anxiety
can even find some space
i think about life
at least a thousand times a day
and my imagination runs riot
and the, ‘what ifs’, they never go away
