That Was a Lie

you told me that you had never said it
that was a lie
you told me that you couldn’t bare your soul
especially on a public forum
that was a lie
you told me that you had changed
that was a lie
and from the things that i have read,
i know things have stayed just the same
that is why i have departed,
and that is why i no longer remain
you told me that you cared
that was a lie
and you do nothing to resolve my hurt inside
