You And Me

it’s just you and me,
and one great big world
they say,
that world is getting smaller
but to see beyond the horizon
i need to be much taller
it’s just you and me
or it’s them and us,
i don’t need to barricade the doors
because we won’t make a fuss
you have come a long way,
with further to go still,
you think you are wise
but you’re just learning to feel
it’s just you and me
and for me,
i live for the phone calls
and her company far away
she makes me feel so tall
and i miss her so much today
but i know,
it’s just you and me
