Shoals of Fish – Written Thursday 3rd June 2010 (Aged 35)

Shoals of Fish

i got lost in shoals of fish
they added,
something bitter to the dish
they never granted me,
a fantastic wish
so i swam upstream
i told the jury,
of where i had been
but my guilt,
had already been made
by the hand of your fate
and too many stones
the judgements,
of the rarely judged
can we find the paths
very rarely trudged
in the minds,
of those who’ve had too much
i got lost in shoals of fish
