Mother Made Up The Illness

mother made up the illness
the actual illness,
the serious and life threatening illness
was replaced,
by one which suits her
mother made up the illness
just to satisfy her needs
her sickness and sadness
and what she must believe
mother made up the illness
and still pretends that this is an illness –
from which they can recover
they boasted to those who were affected
but i realised early on
mother made up the illness
she made up an illness about her child
inside her head,
what kind of madness runs so wild
