thirty nine symptoms of autism
that is what you said,
and i am number thirty one
destined to be ill fed
thirty nine symptoms of autism
and they are the only one to see
they could exaggerate exaggeration
thirty nine symptoms of autism
and no one had ever noticed
yet somehow you have
i laughed till i cried then i cried some more
the asylum is open
and i see you lurking by the open door
thirty nine symptoms of autism
the insensitivity is lost upon you
but then nightmares can mesh into dreams
thirty nine symptoms of autism
how do i cope,
how have i got through my life
am i standing on the cliff
flying a buckled kite
thirty nine symptoms of autism
and yet, no one ever said it to me before
i urge you to step away from the asylum
i know you have the key to its front door
