Best For Me
even with best intentions –
they do not know what is best for me
i do not mean to be callous or sound harsh
but you have to find the rhythm and the beat –
of somebodies heart
before you enter the harden and take part
even with best intentions –
they do not know what is best for me
and without listening to me
thinking that they perhaps –
even with best intentions –
they do not know what is best for me
and without accepting my point of view
without offering me that respect
i do not know how they can know what is best for me
i do not mean to exclude them
or say that can never take part
but you have to find the rhythm and the beat –
of somebodies heart
before you even ask and draw any conclusions
find the beat and the rhythm of my heart
your judgement feels like an intrusion
and believe me this can tear you apart
