A Better Day – Written Wednesday 25th October 2006 (Aged 31)

A Better Day

today i feel strong
somehow the humiliation
the questions and the why
seems further out to sea
i have found a train
and continues,
my self help therapy
today i feel strong
i spent the late hours last night
reading the comments
designed to antagonise me
i felt anger and frustration
but then a gradual realisation
that the facts,
they speak for themselves
today i feel strong
hate me if you like
stamp your feet and make up stories
like christmas but minus the bike
and long lost childhood glories
today i feel strong
inside though a little guilt remains
knowing just how weak –
and just how scared they are
know how frightened –
and how utterly lost you are
today i feel strong
