Gather My Thoughts
bent low in an archway
one above,
cobbled streets
with running water
stifled –
by stolen traffic
in a one way street
with –
a runaway bus
on the crest of a wave
thoughts forming like foam
bent low to gather my thoughts
ice cream parlours
that –
become eagerly sought
with –
seaside determination
and heartfelt illumination
cross fed –
from stepped generations
at the nexus of my street
holding shows
with work laden feet
