All The Hugs And Kisses

so you have let me down again
and i realise –
that when it comes down to it
all the hugs and all the kisses
mean nothing
and in fact,
it was a poisoned kiss
and all the, ‘i need you in my life’
and how i am sorely missed
but you only want me –
when you are down and depressed
you know how i feel about you
to be honest with you –
you are are a mess
all the hugs –
and all the touching and feeling
they do not count for anything
why am i a fool to myself
you just take advantage of how i feel
you play on my affection
words almost fail me
i cannot describe how cheap that is
so you have let me down once again
there are no surprises are there
