Keeping An Eye On You And Me

keeping an eye on you and me
close circuit reality
the kind that let’s you know –
you have a big brother
the kind always watching over you
they watched the way you behave
information is gathered –
and at the touch of a button saved
keeping tracks on our tracks
personal freedom kept in focus
the kind that let’s you know –
there is nothing you can do –
that is not already known
reels and reels of film
grainy black and white film
the kind that shows ordinary people
monitoring their social habits
keeping an eye on you and me
close circuit television
from the bottom to the top
from shop to shop
you can be watched at any time of the day
big brother reality,
gathering information on all of us
keeping an eye on you and me
