Not The Person I Used To Be

i am not the person i used to be
yet somehow,
i seem to have always been me
because i am able to recall –
my inner most thoughts –
from when this person was small
and many,
well they remain the same
and it is not just my frame that’s grown
i am not the person i used to be
yet somehow,
i seem to have always been me
and over the years i have come to notice
i am not the person i used to be
