All Things

i am all things
all the things –
i never thought i would be
and i’ve broken moral codes
like matchsticks under pressure
and i have seen my life
fly past me
like it’s breaking a speed limit
i am tied to the future
and that hurtles towards me
like it’s breaking a speed limit
i am all things
all the things –
i never thought i would be
back to the days when she held me up
and we swam in the sea
destinations unknown
things that are never shown
i am all things
all the things –
a mind will allow you to be
when it struggles with life
and it wants to swim in the sea
i wonder what they made of me
or i was always unmade
i had two parents in a life raft
and neither of them could be saved
these are exciting times
as we go to meet our future days
