i just want to be close
and i just want to know –
that you believe in me
and that self belief,
is not permanently on tow
or that self belief –
has realised it is time to go
i just want to prove myself
prove –
that there was never any need
to think of somebody else
i do not want perfection
but i would like our dreams –
to swim in the same direction
and you do not realise –
the hurt you sometimes cause
and you do not realise –
how i defend you
when others feel that you fall apart
that is why,
i just want to be close
