A Steady Horse Works On
i feel…
well, i feel strange…
no sadness,
no outright joy
discombobulated,
clearly has a clever ploy
but i find myself in some water
looking for a buoy
not knowing and feeling cautious
age has conspired against me
my youth felt so raucous
i just…
i just nee to understand
and feel like i am truly home
i need to settle things down
and keep working this plough
i will be fine,
after all,
a steady horse works on
