Comfort
i miss friendship
the soothing nature of people
whom with –
you have shared your years
we have –
tied ourselves to rain lashed memories
and friendships
they remain just like coming home
but now –
as time detaches us
the memories and the time become precious
and i do break slightly –
when it all goes away
i miss the comfort and the acceptance
which is born from a large stash of years
and sometimes these days
i am caught cradling all of my fears
i miss friendship –
the comfort and acceptance built up over years

A beautifully sad poem.
“rain lashed memories”… love this!!

I didn’t mean it to be so sad – I don’t mind that interpretation because it probably is. Thank you 🙂 x
