Fell Apart
i only fell apart
when –
medieval feelings –
placed me on a rack
that is when i knew –
i had to get back
when my plans –
had become too slack
that’s when i fell apart
when –
the act of –
writing my name –
became an intolerable strain
when politics and policies –
were really to blame
i only fell apart
when –
creative minds began to fold
and paper planes took off
only to be told –
that flying away –
could never actually take place
not –
with that type of look on my face
