Gaze – Written October 1997 (Aged 22)

Gaze

i caught your gaze
they believe –
that i think you’re all the rage
i still blush,
demand hush
get caught in a mad day
running out of things to do
running out of space
i get caught in stealing scenes
and i’m shown up for what i am
i am all alone,
and that’s for real
at least that is how i feel
even if i know that it’s now true
maybe it’s just one more phase
i caught your gaze
