Losing My Collection of Smiles
did you want me
because i have always thought for free
but the cost was there
and it left me down on my knees
i used to walk for miles
and i never left my brain
but i was losing my collection of smiles
to better claims
did you believe me
when i made my way to a mountain
but, before we climb
i have to stop,
i just hope you don’t mind
i’ve got to assess the distance to the top
did you want me
because i have always thought for free
but i got to thinking,
that maybe you were not so good for me
