Daily Bread

i had had my fill of your responsibility
do you know how it feels –
to feast on insanity?
i have swallowed –
every nasty remark you have said
and for a long time your bitterness –
has been my daily bread
i have been fed –
on the life you have led
i have consumed everything you’d done
everything that has gone bad
and you have blamed me for everything
i have worn that tag
you’ve eaten my happiness whole
and then spat it back out
you need to come in from the cold
i have had a fill and now it’s too old
