Airport Lounges – Written Monday 12th March 2002 (Aged 27)

Airport Lounges

i am so tired of travelling
i am never there, yet never here
i’m riding on these feelings
always somewhere in-between
waiting for a better day
one where into the wind i can lean
tired of these plastic lounges
and faceless desolate looks
this is the place in-between
psychics other dimension
listening to hushed conversation
tired of hot chocolate in grey china mugs
and terrible tea in cheap plastic cups
i am never there, yet never here
its just airport lounges with a fistful of stares

    1. Thank you – at that age where my life was expanding outward and I was trying to, ‘write looking outward’, not just, ‘inward’. I was trying to pull so many new and exciting experiences into my writing. Even less than glamourous airports 🙂
