Whatever You Throw
people say, challenge me,
be honest
but we never really mean it
people say,
i can take it
whatever you throw
but they are not being true
none of us want to face our demons
even though,
we spend our lives with them
sorting out the closets
rearranging skeletons
people say,
honesty is the best policy
but words may as well be hushed
kept quiet, kept away
honesty is not the best policy
it is not true, no matter what they say

Thank you 🙂 There was meant to be a bit of humour in this one. It’s like, people say, be honest with me… or tell me the truth… You know that often don’t want that, and the moment you are honest are truthful, it all goes wrong 🙂 I like that bit as well.

It is always so interesting what I read in your words & what you say your words meant to you. Two different worlds. 🙂

It’s very hard of us to explain what our writing means isn’t it 🙂

Yes, that is why I rarely do it. 🙂 I love seeing what others get from it – sometimes completely different things.

Always, if you write primarily for yourself and to understand yourself or explore ‘stuff’, it will always be a different interpretation
