My Town
it was my town
but you bust it up
and you did it without a care
you smashed it up
before i was there
you drank stout
and rode the rides
you ate all the candy floss –
by the seaside
and it was my town to take with me
inside my imaginative little soul
but you broke the streets
snapped by a cold
now,
i must listen to your stories
your endless tales
