Apology – Written January 2006 (Aged 30)

Apology

an apology –
is not just a social nicety
it shows –
that you understand
it shows –
that you empathise –
with the person you’ve hurt

an apology –
shows that you understand
that you understand –
that your behaviour was wrong
that you appreciate your mistake
it validates the hurt and anger
and eases the pain caused
