Proceed With Care

people,
they have to understand me
because since i was small
i have been kicked around
like a solitary football
did you think it was funny being so cruel
there is a chip on my shoulder
big, and not so small

people,
they have to understand me
it’s been like that since i can remember
did they think
i felt like the coldest decemeber
they over estimate themselves
and they think too much

people,
they have to understand me
it’s been like that since i was born
they thought it was stupidity not tiredness –
that made me yawn
i would advise anyone to proceed with care
no one would would cross a minefield
without knowing what was there
do not take me for a fool
