The Constant Bang Bang On My Door – Written Thursday 26th January 2006 (Aged 30)

The Constant Bang Bang On My Door

tired of the –
constant bang bang on my door
the sea comes
and drags me across the shore
holding
but my grip is weak
remaining sane
is an olympic feat
mental health issues strike up
and play a tune
one that is all too familiar
the sound of our drowning values
the constant bang bang on my door
a one to one –
with learning disabilities
which encroaches on my space
drown me in concern
something to face
shaking,
with a constant bang bang on my door
i lean against its shoddy frame
and someone picks up random parts –
from my brain
