Honest Conversations With Yourself

i am just trying to make the best of what i have
and what i am
days of chasing perfection
and looking for that definitive direction
are now in my past
after all,
those days have disappeared so fast
now,
i look back and consider reflections
i know toxicity populated my previous situations
but that is okay
i am just trying to make the best of what i have
and who i am
years were spent struggling in the water
now, i try cultivate my land
years spent always asking for a hand
now, i spend my time making sure i understand
i am just trying to make the best of what i have
and who i am
