Your Smile Smiles On
your face looks on
the hand slides down the body
i had to find something
because hiding under the bed
never solved anything
i ran my hand over your shoulder
i think we felt something
but then, we’ve both got much older
your smile smiles on
the hand slides down the body
into the warm water of pure indecision
i had to look through the windows
i had to know what was inside
checking my heart,
for the keys to your life
the hand slides down the body
i wanted to hold all of it so close
and if i could light a fire, i would
your smile smiles on
i know that we may have to wait
i hope it’s not too long
