Catching Your Eye

we talk about it
till the debate runs dry
social media catches your eye
not i,
we talk about it
till we can talk about it no more
social media speaks your language
not i,
i am pie in the sky
is it because i do not say –
what you want to hear
i wonder why
i know,
it is not i
confirmation bias comes thick and fast
the music plays
and the parcel is passed
but it passes me by
social media catches your eye
not i
