Driven By Insecurity
driven by insecurity
of that i am painfully aware
ego not so spare
but it’s down there –
around my ankles
risk taking,
free from shackles
driven by insecurity
or should that be plural
my hopes and dreams were a city
but my ability was always rural
here i am still powering on
never sure of destinations
but insecurity, it drives me on
