Freud Has a Lot to Answer For

we have all over analysed
freud has a lot to answer for
we have all found labels
we have all given diagnosis
and we have all categorised
especially when we are trying –
to understand what has caught us short –
in the truth,
the experience,
the trauma,
the life,
the things that we have done
the things that we have said
freud has a lot to answer for
when ‘odd’ was once the norm
now it is over analysed
it becomes a sickness of our minds
freud has a lot to answer for
all of us have looked too deep
taken a half hearted peep
freud has a lot to answer for
