Anniversary
she said –
you have a glint in your life
and i am sure –
life is always going to be an interesting ride
outside,
the sounds of paris filtered in
romance has already made the bed
and was ready to begin
we could hear the sound of street cleaners
and the noisy french
who were making passing judgements
she said –
you have a glint in your eye
and i never sure –
but i know it’s going to be an interesting ride
