Self Belief
Don’t talk down
to me.
You are young,
and you are naive.
You can pretend
it is the world
in which you
do not believe—
but you are
a sad person.
You pretend
you hate
everyone else,
but the only
real thing
you can’t believe in
is yourself.
You are so bad.
If you want
to be an adult,
then the very people
for whom you claim
not to care
are the people
you need.
James Garratt – 1993/1994
