Self Belief – Written Approx. Late 1993 or January 1994 (Aged 18)

Self Belief

don’t talk down to me
you are young
and you are naïve
you can pretend –
it is the world –
in which you do not believe
but you are a sad person
you pretend –
you hate everyone else
but the only real thing –
you cannot believe in
is yourself
you are so bad
if you want to be an adult
then the very people –
for whom you claim not to care
i am telling you,
it is those people –
who will get you there

James Garratt – 1993/1994
