The Space That Never Fills
i felt her loneliness
that space that never fills
rushing forwards
but no direction to her wheel
i felt her longing
a life spent in a single tribe
a dream of belonging
which burns deep inside
i saw her tears
the residue and the stain
i saw her spiritual side
and hope so untamed
i felt her reach out
touching another being
i saw a life flash by
a need for health
a need for love
and a need for feeling
i felt her smile –
light a truth to be told
how the love for her children
turns everything to precious gold
