It’s Just Not The Same
it has not been the same for sometime
the sea, it’s still there
and the sky is still shades of blue
on those warm evenings
and i can appreciate the view
but it’s not the same
it’s a discoloured photograph
that sits upon the mantlepiece
left alone with those itchy feet
suddenly the town and the geography
that has cradled me since my birth
seems different,
and the comfort no longer works
a world where somethings change so fast
where what you know just goes
and then becomes your past
it has not been the same for a while
