they need love
not,
a list of problems
or issues
garnishing –
their sour tasting emotions
they need love
not,
this rag-tag –
rag and bone songsmith
with tallyho dreams
and shameful gifts
needing bobs
and finding only bits
they need love
not,
a messed up pauper
with down washed healing
the type that soils the river
and kills the vine
let someone deliver
and let someone give you time
