Social Theory
i read my social work theory text books
and i think of you
i drink cups of tea and i ponder you
whilst chewing over social theory
then i fish for dreams
but the lake is so deep
much deeper than it seems
i read about theory,
method and consequence
and i drift towards you
my feelings are soft and dense
i read my social work theory text books
as i sat perched on the settee
and then something feels like a sun
that radiates inside of me
i talk about it,
but in a more chaotic therapeutic way
i know you are coming back soon
and i am counting the days
