A Cargo of Hope
i saw a ship
sail across a stormy sea
a cargo of rum
and a picture of you and me
i saw a bird fly across –
the bright sky
it’s wings outstretched
a feeling in its eyes
i saw a train
gathering speed
across the country tracks
passengers hold on
and never look back
i had a dream
coloured astral blue
a cargo of hope
dreams can come true
