Duvet Lives – Written Thursday 1st September 2011 (Aged 36)

Duvet Lives

there are some people
who always pick up the pieces of others
they lead duvet lives
living undercover
they reside on a mountainside of hurt
waiting for the day of less troubling work
there is a bubble they live in
they are protected from hurt
and it is left to others to protect these duvet lives
ones lived undercover
without complaint or restraint
trying to hide from responsibility
taking the blame so that the bubble remains
and they never ever deal with the pain

James Garratt – Thursday 1st September 2011
