I Have Seen It

i have seen it
the creeping hate
it’s spinning a spiders web
i have seen it
the look upon her face
talking to the dead
i have seen it
that inner collapse
sailing into the wind
stubbornness always hell-bent
with a tragic end
i have seen it
you can never lie to yourself
at least not forever
eventually you fall apart
eventually the torrent of pain –
will break your heart
i have seen it
shadows licking the corners –
of tear stained eyes
you cannot hide forever
not from the depths of your inside
