Whatever Happens
whatever happens
i will have a clear conscience
married life,
will not have been started –
on another family lie
whatever happens
i have made the decision
that means i can sleep at night
had he not come,
i would have lied for you
and i would have –
sacrificed my conscience
and would have lied
not because i am a martyr
or because i lead a moral charge
