The Crocodile
i love the contradictions
for example the image presented
vying in a bloody battle
with the truth that underneath
contradictions in social niceties
yet there is a crocodile beneath
and the gentlest of provocation
quickly reveals the teeth
i love the contradictions
and watching people debate
or even argue
ad they endlessly contradict themselves
because the surface
bears no resemblance to the truth underneath
the bitterness and nastiness
is sadly, not released
that is the nature of cast iron tears
inside it boils and bubbles
yet outside it is barely disguised fear
i love the contradictions
the person coming to the fore
all their prejudices and all their hate
there, like a wide open door
