The Demons – Written Tuesday 14th February 2006 (Aged 30)

The Demons

if the truth be known
then your social anxiety
your fear of rejection
must have left you scared
just like,
your inability to be honest
is the outfit you wear
oh, i am sure you could be
but if the truth be known
you are just scared
and with no previous benchmark
there was always a chance
it would break our hearts
but, rather then admit your problem
or deal with the issues in place
we watched in despair
as shame and guilt passed across your face
and if the the truth be know
i was always waiting for you
but you let the demons rule you
