The Time Will Come

i am sure a time will come
when,
you will clutch your answer
and you will clutch it –
to the confines of your chest
i wonder if you realise –
that no one is there
there is no one person sharing the glory
when this moment arrive
i hope you think long and hard
and will you think,
was it worth it?
was it worth losing somebody?
just to be right
just to have an answer
perhaps,
on a personal level it was
perhaps that is all you ever wanted
i know though,
that any genuine love and care –
would lead you to explore further
so now, now you have the answer
based on no evidence and no experience
but it is an answer –
and it is the answer that you always wanted
but as a human being you are no further forwards
in fact,
you appear to isolated
and in terms of anything human –
you have lost so much
