Trusting Someone

how do you trust someone
someone,
who is not honest with you
you can think about their reasons
you can try to emphasise
but in the end you only have so much
for someone’s ongoing deceit
how do you trust someone
someone,
with whom you try to plead your case
all you can do,
is try to earn their trust
but there comes a time
when it all becomes just too much
